Jennifer grew up in South Jersey and graduated from Rowan University in 1997. She worked as an editor for publishers in Philadelphia and Washington, DC before becoming a mom and moving to Florida, where she became a full-time mom and a part-time copyeditor. After she and her husband, a special education teacher, divorced in 2011, she took a job in banking and their son, who is autistic, remain with his father. After a 2013 motorcycle accident left her with a brain injury, Jennifer began freelance copyediting full-time to support herself. She is remarried and recently moved with her new husband to Virginia.
