  • Tour the neighborhood to take in the Christmas lights
  • Go ice-skating
  • Take your kids to a coffee house for a hot chocolate treat
  • Make fleece tie blankets for a local unit of Project Linus
  • Feed the birds
  • Go sledding
  • Donate goods to a homeless shelter or a shelter for victims of domestic violence
  • Host a neighborhood open house or potluck party
  • Carol at a nursing home
  • Use graham crackers and candy to make gingerbread houses
