By submitting an article to Grown Ups, you understand and agree to the following terms:

You hereby grant Grown Ups an exclusive, world-wide, perpetual, transferable license to use, print, publish, display, and distribute your submission on the grownupsmag.com website, in the print and digital versions of Grown Ups Magazine, and via any other media now existing or to be created in the future. You grant Grown Ups the right to use your name, likeness, photograph, and biographical materials in connection with and for the promotion of the submission and any related works.

You retain the ownership of the copyrights and other intellectual property rights over your work. You will not receive a monetary payment for use of this work.

Submissions may not have been published or posted via any media, in print or online, including but not limited to your personal blog. Submissions may not be Private Label Rights content, and must be the original work of the person submitting the work.

You warrant that the submission is your original creation, it has not been copied in whole or in part from any other work, it has not been previously published, it does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, trade secret, publicity right, or other interests of any other person or entity, and it does not defame, libel, or slander any other person or entity.

You agree to indemnify Grown Ups against all claims and damages arising out of the breach or alleged breach of any representations, warranties, or agreements made by you under this agreement.

Submission is not a guarantee that Grown Ups will publish your article. You will be notified if your submission is not right for Grown Ups, but the notification may take one to six months.

To the extent allowed by law, under this agreement, Grown Ups will not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, exemplary or consequential damages, regardless of legal theory, whether or not she has been warned of such damages, and even if all other remedies would fail.

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements between them or any of their affiliates, with respect to the subject matter contained herein.

This agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California. Any and all disputes, controversies, claims, or differences arising out of, relating to, or having any connection with this agreement, shall exclusively be brought and heard in the County of Orange, the State of California, and both parties consent to jurisdiction in the County of Orange, the State of California.
