Strap Yourselves In!

Did you know that car seats have an expiration date?

It sounds funny, but it’s true!

Materials break down, technology advances, and vehicle designs and safety standards change. Older models are no longer safety tested as newer car seat models are released.

Find your car seat’s expiration date on the base and remember that car seats are usually good for six years after the manufacture date. Never buy a used car seat, and always replace any that have been involved in a motor vehicle accident.

There’s no reason to put your child’s safety in jeopardy to save a few dollars. Update your safety gear as needed!
